Nashville Predators defenseman P.K. Subban has been named captain of the Central Division All-Star team set to compete at the 2017 NHL All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles, Jan. 28-29.
Subban is the first Predators player to be named captain of an NHL All-Star Team. NHL fans voted for their favorite players in each division to be named captain of their respective groups, with Subban leading the voting results in the Central for a majority of the process from Dec. 1 through Jan. 2. Pittsburgh Penguins center Sidney Crosby (Metropolitan), Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price (Atlantic) and Edmonton Oilers forward Connor McDavid (Pacific) are the other three representatives who will wear the 'C' in Los Angeles.
