Sponsorships

The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF) is a registered charity dedicated to improving the quality of life in Oil Country while making our communities better by fostering a culture of "giving back". We carefully choose sponsorships that align with our commitment to creating thriving communities in Oil Country. The EOCF categorizes sponsorships to encompass support of various types of events, including but not limited to golf tournaments and galas, along with the purchase of foursomes and tables at such events.

Our sponsorship selection is guided by the following criteria:

• Alignment with Our Mission: We assess how each sponsorship opportunity contributes to the fulfillment of our charitable mission.
• Enhancing Community Engagement: We consider how the sponsorship will elevate community engagement and strengthen our brand.
• Impact on Our Charitable Goals: We evaluate how the sponsorship can have a positive impact on our charitable objectives.
• Involvement of Our Team: We explore ways in which this sponsorship can involve and engage our staff, fostering a sense of corporate unity.

How to Request Sponsorship

Our organization receives numerous invitations to participate in various opportunities each year. To ensure that our sponsorships align with our objectives, we carefully prioritize applications.

While our current sponsorship commitments are limited, we remain open to new sponsorship opportunities. The maximum sponsorship amount available is $5,000 per application.

Please note that the following areas/groups are precluded from support by the EOCF:

• Adult sport groups
• Advertising
• Capital campaigns
• Capital projects (such as playgrounds)
• Endowment funds
• Individuals
• Minor sports associations and teams*
• Organizations not located in Northern or Central Alberta
• Political causes or candidates
• Prizing or giveaways
• Religious or fraternal organizations
• Third-party fundraising - is defined as an event put on by one community group or organization for the benefit of another group or charitable organization
