In its most recent three-game stretch spanning from March 17 to March 21, the Iowa Wild went 2-1-0 in games against Coachella and San Diego. Iowa fell to Coachella in the second game of a two-game set on March 17, 3-1.

Nic Petan netted the lone goal for Iowa, he was assisted bySteven Fogarty and Marco Rossi. Jesper Wallstedt stopped 23-of-26 shots faced.
Iowa opened a two-game set against San Diego on March 22, outlasting the Gulls 6-2. Brandon Baddock, Mike O'Leary and Petan all scored, while Rossi recorded his first professional hat trick in the win. Wallstedt stopped 34-of-36 shots faced.
Iowa completed the sweep of the Gulls on March 21 with a 4-3 shootout victory. Iowa fell behind 3-0 in the first period and bounced back with three goals in the second scored by Michael Milne, O'Leary and Fogarty. Milne and Petan both scored in the shootout to seal the win for Iowa. Rossi recorded an assist and extended his point-streak to eight games (6-8=14). Zane McIntyre stopped 21-of-24 shots in regulation and overtime, and didn't allow a goal in the shootout.
Through 63 games Iowa currently sits in fourth place in the Central Division with a record of 30-24-9 and is 7-3-0 in its last 10 games.
Wallstedt is 16-13-4 with a GAA of 2.69 and SV% of .910, while McIntyre is 14-11-4 with a GAA of 3.03 and a SV% of .895. Petan (19-29=48), Rossi (16-30=46) and Joe Hicketts (5-38=43) lead all active wild skaters in points.
Rossi was named AHL Player of the Week on March 20 after tallying five points in three games (3-2=5).
