Iowa split a two-game set with San Diego last weekend, winning the first game and falling in the second matchup.

In its win on April 1, Iowa extended its point-streak to five games by beating the Gulls 5-1. Nic Petan found the back of the net twice, Joe Hicketts, Nick Swaney and Mitchell Balmas were the other goal scorers for Iowa. Petan also registered two assists for a four-point game, while Marco Rossi had three assists. Jesper Wallstedt stopped 17-of-18 shots faced in the win.
The two teams met again the next night, where San Diego outlasted Iowa, 4-2. Swaney recorded his second goal of the weekend while Simon Johansson scored the other goal. Zane McIntyre stopped 10-of-13 shots faced.
Through 67 games, Iowa holds a record of 32-25-10 and sits in fourth place in the Central Division with five games remaining, and the magic number to clinch a playoff spot in eight.
Wallstedt owns a record of 17-13-5 with a GAA of 2.64 and a SV% of .911, and ranks fourth among AHL rookies in GAA and is tied for fourth in SV% and wins. McIntyre is 15-12-4 with a GAA of 2.93 and a SV% of .867.
Petan (23-34=57), Rossi (16-33=49) and Hicketts (6-41=47) lead all Iowa skaters. Sammy Walker ranks third among AHL rookies in goals, tied for third in PPG's and sixth in points.
