Max Comtois, LW (197) -- Ranked behind the top four fantasy rookies (Cale Makar, Jack Hughes, Kaapo Kakko, Quinn Hughes), Comtois is a dark-horse Calder Trophy contender. He led the Ducks in points per 60 minutes (2.88) through 10 NHL games last season but missed time with injury and was sent to Drummondville of the QMJHL, where he had nearly two points per game (48 in 25). Comtois was better than a point per game for Canada at the World Junior Championship and is poised for a top-six role and at least 50 points in his first full season.
Ondrej Kase, RW (204) -- He was productive when healthy last season (20 points, 94 SOG in 30 games), leading the Ducks in goals per 60 minutes (1.41), but sustained a shoulder injury Jan. 17 and missed the rest of the season. Kase could be elevated to the top line but also has chemistry with center Adam Henrique, who is likely to be on the third unit. There are safer late-round options, but it wouldn't be surprising to see Kase shatter his previous NHL career-highs in offensive categories and be one of the biggest fantasy steals with 30-35 goals.
