Each team will participate in three contests over the course of four days at either Gila River Arena or Ice Den Scottsdale. All three of the Avalanche's games will be played at Ice Den, which is located at 9375 E Bell Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85260.
Colorado opens the rookie tournament versus the Kings on Friday, Sept. 17 at 4 p.m. MT before a practice day for each of the six clubs on Saturday. The Avs wrap up the tournament with a contest against the Ducks on Sunday, Sept. 19 at 5 p.m. MT and an outing against the Sharks at 10 a.m. MT on Monday, Sept. 20. This is the fifth time that the Avalanche has taken part in a rookie tournament. The team hosted and won the inaugural Rookie Showcase in 2016 at the Ice Centre at the Promenade in Westminster and participated in the San Jose Sharks' Prospect Showcase in 2017, the 2018 Vegas Rookie Faceoff and the 2019 Rookie Faceoff in Anaheim.
Colorado will announce its roster and full training camp schedule at a later date.
