Hockey returns Wednesday night as the Colorado Avalanche debuts virtual simulations while the NHL is on Pause.

Beginning this Wednesday, April 22, a 45-minute video game simulation of EA Sports' NHL 20 will be streamed on the Avalanche's Twitch.tv and YouTube channels. The action begins at 7:30 p.m. MT.

This week's matchup is between the Avalanche and Detroit Red Wings at virtual Pepsi Center.

Each game features commentary from Altitude TV broadcasters Marc Moser and Peter McNab and in-game elements that are unique to Colorado's home ice at Pepsi Center.
