The Colorado Avalanche shutout the Los Angeles Kings 2-0 on Friday night at Ball Arena.
Philipp Grubauer stopped all 18 shots he faced for his fourth shutout of the season, setting a new career high for a single campaign.
Mikko Rantanen scored midway through the second period and then assisted on Nathan MacKinnon's empty-net marker with 1:23 remaining in the game. Devon Toews and Ryan Graves had assists on Rantanen's tally.
