The Molnlycke, Sweden, native played for the Frolunda organization in his home country before heading to North America. He registered 10 points (5g/5a) in 72 career games for Frolunda in the Swedish Hockey League and collected 54 points (29g/25a) in 71 contests for the club's junior team in the J20 SuperElit.
