Sedlak, 29, tallied 43 points (18g/25a) in 49 games for Traktor Chelyabinsk in the Kontinental Hockey League in 2022-23, his third season in the KHL. He added six points (3g/3a) in 10 playoff games, finishing tied for fourth on the team in goals. Over three campaigns in the KHL, Sedlak collected 121 points (57g/64a) in 164 outings. The Ceské Budejovice, Czech Republic, native represented his country at the 2022 Winter Olympics, recording one point (0g/1a) in four contests.
Selected by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the sixth round (158th overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft, Sedlak played three seasons for Columbus from 2016-19, totaling 27 points (15g/12a) in 162 regular-season games while also appearing in two postseason contests. He spent three seasons with the Blue Jackets' American Hockey League affiliates, the Springfield Falcons and Lake Erie Monsters, producing 48 points (28g/20a) in 159 career AHL outings. The 6-foot, 205-pound center also recorded 17 points (9g/8a) in 21 career postseason contests. During the 2016 Calder Cup Playoffs, Sedlak appeared in 17 games and registered 16 points (9g/7a), finishing second on the team in goals and tied for the team lead in points as the Monsters won the Calder Cup as AHL champions
Prior to playing professionally, Sedlak spent two seasons with the Chicoutimi Saguenéens in the QMJHL from 2011-13, collecting 79 points (32g/47a) in 98 career regular-season contests and adding 13 points (6g/7a) in 24 postseason outings.
Internationally, Sedlak has also represented the Czech Republic at two IIHF World Junior Championships (2012 and 2013), serving as team captain in 2013 and recording three points (1g/2a) in six games. He also represented his country at the 2011 IIHF World Under-18 Championship, producing four points (3g/1a) in five contests while wearing the "C" as team captain.
