Nathan MacKinnon, who was voted the captain of the Central Division, was unable to participate in the game due to a foot injury but was on the bench beside Central head coach Paul Maurice throughout each game.
In Friday night's skills competition, Landeskog participated in the Gatorade NHL Puck Control contest, while Rantanen competed in the Enterprise NHL Premier Passer contest.

Saturday, February 2 vs. Vancouver Canucks

Pepsi Center, 8 p.m. MT, TV: Altitude 2, Radio: 950 AM
The Avalanche returns from the All-Star Break and bye week to host the Vancouver Canucks at Pepsi Center. It's the second of three matchups between the clubs this season and the first of two that will be played in the Mile High City, as the Canucks return on Feb. 27 to wrap up the season series. Vancouver won the first contest 7-6 in overtime on Nov. 2 at Rogers Arena.

Avs in the Community

On Tuesday, Jan. 22, Avalanche forwards Matt Nieto and Mikko Rantanen participated in a floor hockey clinic with 100 intellectually diabled athletes from Special Olympics Colorado as part of the Avalanche Street/Floor Hockey program and NHL's Hockey Is For Everyone initiative.

Sven Andrighetto and Dominic Toninato participated in a practice with the Pee Wee Jr. Avalanche team that will compete in the Quebec Pee Wee International Tournament in February.

The Avs Better Halves' annual Charity Brunch will take place on Feb. 17 at the Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center. The event includes brunch served by the players and coaches and a fashion show featuring Avalanche players escorting children who have overcome medical challenges.
