With the NHL 2022-23 season heading into March, here's this week's update revolving around Avalanche prospects from the AHL, junior, collegiate, and European levels.

AMBROSIO MATCHES CAREER HIGH GOALS MARK

Colby Ambrosio, Colorado's fourth-round selection (118th overall) in the 2020 NHL Draft, has notched at least one point in two of his last three games (1G,1A) for the Boston College Eagles.
The Welland, Ontario native garners a 13.0 shooting percentage which is second on the team (min. 50 shots).
With his most recent goal against the University of Massachusetts on Feb. 17, the junior forward has matched his career-high of nine goals in collegiate play.

Riding a three-game win streak, the Eagles return to action in a two-game road trip at the University Maine on Feb. 24-25.


LEIVERMANN SHOWS OUT IN FINAL REGULAR SEASON HOME GAME FOR THE IRISH

Nick Leivermann scored the game-tying goal and found the back of the net in the shootout to help the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish pick up an extra point on Feb. 11 against No. 7-ranked Ohio State.

The Avs' seventh-round selection (187th overall) of the 2017 NHL Draft is tied for third in scoring on the team with 18 points (6G, 12A).
Leivermann and Notre Dame take on Michigan in Ann Arbor in the team's final two regular-season games, starting Feb. 24-25.


BEHRENS STAYS HOT FOR THE THIRD-RANKED PIONEERS

Since his return from the World Junior Championship, Sean Behrens has registered at least one point in eight of his last 11 games (2G, 10A) for the No. 3-ranked University of Denver Pioneers.

The Barrington, Ill. native ranks second on the team in scoring among blueliners with 20 points (3G, 17A) in 27 games played.
The Pioneers travel to Kalamazoo, Mich., to take on fifth-ranked Western Michigan in a two-game series on Feb. 24-25.


MERKLEY NETS FIRST GOAL FOR COLORADO

The newly acquired defenseman via the San Jose Sharks scored his first goal in an Eagles' sweater on February 15 versus the Bakersfield Condors.

Merkley has posted three points (1G, 2A) in nine games for the Colorado Eagles.
The Eagles return to action on February 24 as they host the Abbotsford Canucks.
