KADRI VOTED TO NHL ALL-STAR GAME

DENVER - Colorado Avalanche forward Nazem Kadri has been selected to participate in the 2022 NHL All-Star Game, it was announced today following the "Last Man In" fan voting. Kadri was voted as the Central Division's final player and will join teammates Nathan MacKinnon and Cale Makar as well as head coach Jared Bednar at the 2022 Honda NHL® All-Star Game on Saturday, Feb. 5 in Las Vegas (1 p.m. MT, ABC, Sportsnet, TVA Sports). Kadri will also participate in the 2022 NHL All-Star Skills™ presented by DraftKings Sportsbook on Friday, Feb. 4 (5:30 p.m. MT, ESPN, Sportsnet, TVA Sports).
This year marks the first time that three Avalanche players were selected to the NHL All-Star Game since 2018-19, when MacKinnon, Gabriel Landeskog and Mikko Rantanen represented the team in San Jose, California. MacKinnon was not able to participate due to injury but did serve as one of the Central Division's coaches behind the bench during that event. The last time three Avalanche players participated in an NHL All-Star Game was 2003-04, when Rob Blake, Joe Sakic and Alex Tanguay competed for the Western Conference in Minnesota.
Kadri, 31, will be making his first appearance at an NHL All-Star Game. He leads the Avalanche and ranks fifth in league scoring with 49 points (14g/35a) in 33 games this season. The London, Ontario, native ranks second in the NHL in assists and is fourth in points-per-game (1.48). He also sits among the league leaders in multi-point games (T-2nd, 16), power-play points (T-9th, 16) and PP assists (T-10th, 11). Kadri has already set a career high in assists and is one point shy of his fourth career 50-point campaign.
Kadri scored his 200th NHL goal on Dec. 1 at Toronto and appeared in his 700th game on Jan. 15 at Arizona. He was named the NHL's Third Star for the month of November after leading the team with 21 points (4g/17a) in 10 games. The centerman became only the second player in Avalanche history to average over two points-per-game in a single month, joining Joe Sakic in March 2000. Kadri had a career-high 10-game point streak from Oct. 28-Nov. 24, during which he had 21 points (6g/15a).
Selected by Toronto in the first round (seventh overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Kadri has 474 points (205g/269a) in 701 career games. He also has 29 points (12g/17a) in 36 career playoff contests.
