2020 Postcards From Quebec

The Colorado Avalanche Pee-Wee team played in its second exhibition game of the trip on Thursday. Goaltenders Griffin Niedzielski and Matthew Toomey once again split the match against the St. Albert Jr. Oilers in Wendake, Quebec.
The Jr. Oilers of Alberta, Canada, played a complete game on both ends of the ice and defeated the Jr. Avs 10-0. Fortunately for the Jr. Avs, the exhibition games are designed for teams to use to get ready for the all-important tournament play, which the team will begin tomorrow night at the Videotron Center.

Following the exhibition game, the pee wees grabbed a quick team lunch then headed to Aventure Inukshuk for a unique Quebec outdoors experience--a guided dogsledding tour in the beautiful rural region of the province.

2020 Postcards From Quebec

The Jr. Avalanche will faceoff against the San Diego Jr. Gulls on Friday night, a primetime slot at the world's most prestigious youth tournament in the world!
Goaltender #32 Griffin Niedzielski
Dear Avs Fans,
I got to spend my first night with my billet family on Wednesday night. In the morning, they made my two teammates and I an amazing breakfast. I ate ham, eggs, bacon and lots of fruit. Then we went to our exhibition game. I like that we always start games by trading pins with the other team. It's cool to see everyone's different pins. We ended up losing badly, but we recovered and are ready for the next one.
After eating pizza, we got to go dogsledding and I have never done that before. It was snowing a lot and we got to go pretty fast down some hills. There were so many dogs! The guides let us meet the fluffy baby huskies. They were so soft and fun to play with. Then after dogsledding they brought us into the cabin for hot chocolate. I am excited to play at the big Videotron Center tomorrow.
Sincerely,#32
