What is the biggest thing that you've learned or that's surprised you about Rookie Camp?
I've learned what I need to improve in my game and stuff. How to be more professional with the guys. What they do for warm-up, cool down and stuff so just learn from those.
What are your plans and goals for next season?
Just work as hard as I can and follow my goals and dream to play in the NHL.
How did you become a goaltender?
It's a funny story... When I was young with my parents, I remember this moment I was playing with toys and stuff, and they asked me do you want to play hockey and I said yes. So after I did figure skating from 4-6 I was too lazy I said to my parents, "Oh I want to be a referee they don't do nothing almost." They said you cannot. So, then I watched one practice of one goalie and one player, and I saw that goalie almost not do anything so then I decided okay I am going to be a goalie. I was wrong goalies do a lot of jobs, but that's why I wanted to be a goalie.
What is your favorite part about being a goaltender?
Stop the puck. That's it.
How would you describe yourself as a teammate?
I am a social guy, I'm always with a group of guys. I try to help everybody. Even if I see someone that is kind of upset, I try to support him. I try to be myself, just be a nice guy.
What's one thing Avs fans might not know about you? (Could be a hobby, fun fact, cool trick etc.)
I love to learn languages. As you can see with my English.
How many languages do you speak?
I speak three languages. Russian, English and French.
