Samuel Girard St. Louis Blues 2018 April 7

Avalanche defenseman Samuel Girard will miss Game 2 of the Colorado Avalanche's first-round Stanley Cup Playoffs series against the Nashville Predators with an upper-body injury.
He made his playoff debut in Game 1 on Thursday and played 22:07 and finished the contest with five shot attempts and one blocked shot.

In 73 contests this regular season, the 19-year-old had 23 points (four goals, 19 assists) and became the fourth Avalanche defenseman to reach 20 points since the franchise moved to Denver.
Girard appeared in all 68 Avalanche outings after he was acquired by Colorado from Nashville in a three-team trade on Nov. 5.
Duncan Siemens will make his Stanley Cup Playoffs debut and replace him in the lineup. Siemens is expected to be on the third defensive pairing.
