The Colorado Avalanche look to extend their best-of-seven series lead over the Tampa Bay Lighting in Game 3 of the 2022 Stanley Cup Final as the series shifts from Denver to Tampa Bay. The two clubs clash on Monday night at the Amalie Arena with a 6 p.m. MT puck drop scheduled.

In Game 2 on Saturday night, the Avalanche defeated the Lightning in with a final score of 7-0. Darcy Kuemper pitched a shutout win with 17 shots on goal, while Andre Burakovsky, Darren Helm, Valeri Nichushkin (2), Cale Makar (2), and Josh Manson found the back of the net. Mikko Rantanen assisted on three of the seven goals.
The 17 shots on goal were the Lightning's fewest in any game during the 2022 season, and the lowest in a playoff series since Game 2 of their second round series against the Carolina Hurricanes in 2021. The seven goals by the Avs was the most given up by goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy in any playoff game in his career.

This was Darcy Kuemper's third career playoff shutout... Valeri Nichushkin added two more goals to his playoff total of eight goals... Mikko Rantanen tied Cale Makar with his three assists in this game, putting them both at 17 in the playoffs... Cale Makar added another two points to his resume making him the point leader for the Avs with 24 points... Darren Helm scores his second goal of the playoffs to go along with his team high, 22 hits... Andre Burakovsky continued to shine in this Stanley Cup Final adding another two points (1G, 1A).
