NOTEWORTHY:
Nazem Kadri scored his eighth playoff power-play goal since joining the Avalanche in 2020, the second-most of any Avalanche player in that span (Nathan MacKinnon, 9). Kadri's nine shots on goal in Game 1 established a new career-best… The Avalanche's eight goals equaled the franchise-best for goals in a Stanley Cup Playoff game (also: May 4, 2002 vs. San Jose and June 6, 1996 vs. Florida)... Andrew Cogliano's goal stood as the game winner, his team-leading second game-winning goal of the postseason. Cogliano had one game-winning tally in the playoffs prior to this year, against Dallas on April 18, 2014… Mikko Rantanen collected his 25th career playoff power-play point and tied Milan Hejduk for sixth place on the Avalanche/Nordiques all-time list.
