The Colorado Avalanche look to extend their best-of-seven series lead over the Edmonton Oilers in Game 3 of the Western Conference Final as the series shifts from Denver to Edmonton. The two clubs clash on Saturday night at Rogers Place with a 6 p.m. MT puck drop scheduled.

RECAP OF GAME 2:

The Avalanche squad is heading to Edmonton with a 2-0 series lead after shutting out the Oilers 4-0 in Game 3. Pavel Francouz backstopped the Avalanche to victory with 24 saves, while Artturi Lehkonen, Josh Manson, Mikko Rantanen and Nathan MacKinnon (power play) all found the back of the net in the victory in Thursday's game at Ball Arena. Nazem Kadri assisted on three of the four goals.
After a scoreless first, Colorado scored two goals in a 15-second span during the second period. This marked the fifth-fastest two goals in franchise history.

NOTEWORTHY:

Francouz earned his second career playoff shut-out... Lehkonen scored his fifth goal of the playoffs and second game-winning goal which is tied with Andrew Cogliano for the team lead... Manson scored his second goal of the postseason... Rantanen buried his third goal of the playoffs and his second goal in as many games... MacKinnon upped his team lead in goals to 10 during this postseason run as he converted for the fifth time on the power play. He also recorded a playoff career-high of 11 shots, the second-most by any player in a single game of the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs only trailing teammate Cale Makar who registered 12 shots on May 5, 2022 in the First Round against Nashville... Kadri 's three assists marked his third-career contest - and second this season - with three or more points in a Stanley Cup Playoff game... Nicolas Aube-Kubel returned to the lineup in place of Andre Burakovksy...
