In the lightest day yet of Blackhawks in action at the 2021 IIHF World Championship, Nicolas Beaudin found the scoresheet for the first time on day three of games in Riga, Latvia.

BEAUDIN FINDS SCORESHEET IN LOSS TO U.S.

Chicago's rookie defenseman notched the primary assist on Team Canada's lone goal in a lopsided 5-1 loss to the U.S. on day three, putting the Canadians on the board in a then 4-0 game.
Beaudin was a +1 in 12:40 of ice time in the loss, while Brandon Hagel skated 14:58 with one shot and
Brandon Pirri
14:11 with four shots in the defeat.
Canada fell to 0-2-0 through their opening slate and will face top-seed Germany on Monday.

KURASHEV, SWITZERLAND IMPROVE TO 2-0-0

The last Blackhawk to begin play at the Worlds, Philipp Kurashev and Team Switzerland have made swift work of their European oppoents thus far, including a 1-0 win over Denmark on Sunday.
Kurashev skated 12:17 of ice time in the win, registering two shots and two penalty minutes on the day. The Swiss will meet Sweden on Tuesday in their third outing of the tournament.

Seven Blackhawks are back in action on day four, headlined by the Canadian trio of Hagel, Beaudin and Pirri meeting
Lukas Reichel
and Team Germany as the Germans look to continue their strong start to the competition.
Nikita Zadorov and
Maxim Shalunov
are back in action after Sunday's off day as Russia meets Slovakia, while Dominik Kubalik and the Czech Republic side look to get back in the win column against Belarus.
