BLOG: Dach Named Team Canada Captain for 2021 World Juniors

Forward to lead Canada into World Junior Championship beginning Dec. 25

Kirby Dach is Captain Canada for the 2021 World Junior Championship.
The Blackhawks forward was named Team Canada's captain for the tournament on Friday, a week before the official start of the tournament in Edmonton. Fellow 2019 draft picks Dylan Cozens and Bowen Byram were named alternate captains as well.

Dach joins Dylan Strome as the only other recent Blackhawk to serve as team captain for the Canadians at World Juniors. Former Blackhawk Troy Murray served as team captain for the tournament in 1982 and assistant coach Marc Crawford was captain the year prior in 1981.
