The Blackhawks held an optional practice at MB Ice Arena on Tuesday morning before heading to Detroit for a quick road trip to face the Red Wings. After last night's 8-7 win over the Ottawa Senators, Chicago moved within one point of the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Corey Crawford practiced with the team, but several players who factored heavily in Monday night's win over the Senators were given the morning off. In addition, Brent Seabrook, who missed the Ottawa game with an abdominal strain, did not skate on Tuesday morning.
