RELEASE: Blackhawks Announce 2020-21 Schedule and Details

In conjunction with the National Hockey League, the Chicago Blackhawks today announced a 56-game schedule for the
2020-21 regular season
. The Blackhawks will begin play on Wednesday, January 13 at Tampa Bay and play their home opener at the United Center on Friday, January 22 against Detroit. A complete schedule is attached, and specific game times are to be announced. The Blackhawks will open training camp on Sunday, January 3 with the first on-ice practice coming on Monday, January 4. The Blackhawks will not play any preseason games.

NBC Sports Chicago, the official television broadcasting partner of the Blackhawks, will be the exclusive carrier of all local game broadcasts. Games broadcast on NBC Sports Chicago can also be streamed to authenticated subscribers on NBCSportsChicago.com and the "MyTeams by NBC Sports" app. All 56 Blackhawks games can also be heard on Chicago's WGN Radio 720 and streamed on WGNRadio.com. In addition, all home games and select road games will air in Spanish on TUDN, Univision Sports Radio 1200AM. Specific broadcast schedules are to be announced.

The health and safety of our fans, players and staff remains our top priority, and after careful consideration in collaboration with the NHL, city and state officials, the Blackhawks will not be hosting fans in the United Center for the beginning of the 2020-21 NHL season. We will continue working with the league, city and state officials to evaluate conditions to determine if there is a timeline that would allow for fans later this season. The Blackhawks will play in a revamped Central Division that will feature the Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Detroit Red Wings, Florida Panthers, Nashville Predators and Tampa Bay Lightning. The regular season will feature an exclusive intradivisional schedule and four teams from each division will make the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
