The Chicago Blackhawks Foundation announced today that a total of $1.85 million has been awarded to grant recipients throughout the 2018-19 season.
The Chicago Blackhawks Foundation granted $1,380,000 to 16 organizations across Chicagoland that share its vision for a healthier, smarter, more secure world for families in and around Chicago, including:
- Amateur Hockey Association Illinois (AHAI) - BUILD Chicago - Chicago Jesuit Academy - Chicago Sports Alliance - Christ the King Jesuit College Prep - Common Threads - Cradles to Crayons - The Field Museum - Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana - Girls in the Game - Inner-City Education - Pilot Light - Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana® - Shirley Ryan AbilityLab - Trickster Art Gallery - USO of Illinois

Additionally, through the Chicago Blackhawks Community Fund, a McCormick Foundation Fund, the following 10 nonprofit organizations received a total of $475,000 in grants to support education and/or housing programs that assist low-income children and families in achieving self-sufficiency. The Chicago Blackhawks Community Fund, established in 2009, is supported with major funding from the Chicago Blackhawks Foundation, which is matched at 50 cents on the dollar by the Robert R. McCormick Foundation.
To celebrate their accomplishments, all of the above grant recipients were honored at the Chicago Blackhawks Foundation's annual luncheon on March 21 at the United Center.
