Previously held picks:

  • Round 3, 76th overall: The Blackhawks traded their 2021 third-round pick, along with 2020 second- and seventh-round picks, to Montreal on June 30, 2019 for Andrew Shaw and Montreal's seventh-round pick in this year's draft (more on that pick later). Shaw appeared in 40 games over two seasons for Chicago before being forced to step away from the game due to concussions on April 26, 2021.

  • Round 7, 223nd overall: Montreal's seventh-round pick that was sent to the Blackhawks with Andrew Shaw for a trio of picks two summers ago was returned to the Canadiens during the 2020 NHL Draft last October. Chicago acquired Montreal's 2020 seventh-round selection in exchange for the previously-acquired 2021 final-round pick and selected Louis Crevier (188th overall) from Rimouski in the QMJHL.
