LAST GAME
The Blackhawks defeated the Wild 4-2 on Sunday afternoon at the United Center. It was their third consecutive victory over Minnesota. In those three wins, the Blackhawks have potted 13 goals. Chicago improved to 31-8-2 when scoring first. Patrick Kane, Artemi Panarin, Trevor van Riemsdyk and Marian Hossa each recorded goals for Chicago. KANE IS ABLE
Kane netted his 30th goal of the season and added an assist on Sunday against the Wild. He became the first Blackhawk to post back-to-back 30-goal campaigns since Patrick Sharp did so during the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons. He shares fourth in the NHL with 20 multi-point games this year. Since Feb. 2, Kane is second in the NHL with 24 points (15G, 9A) in 16 contests.
MILESTONES
In Friday's matchup with the Red Wings, Duncan Keith became the eighth player in franchise history to appear in 900 career games. He joins Brent Seabrook (910) as the second Blackhawk to reach the milestone this season. Keith (504 points) and Seabrook (400 points) sit third and sixth, respectively, on Chicago's all-time scoring list among defensemen. Hossa is just two games away from reaching 1,300 career NHL outings.
ONE-TIMERS
Panarin recorded a goal and an assist on Sunday vs. Minnesota. It was his second consecutive game with a goal. He has 15 multi-point games this season ... Van Riemsdyk registered a marker for the second straight game. It was the first time in his career that he has notched tallies in back-to-back games. He has four goals and four helpers this season ... Niklas Hjalmarsson picked up an assist and shared second on the club with three blocked shots. He shares third in the NHL with 160 blocks this season ... Johnny Oduya collected his first assist with Chicago since being acquired on Feb. 28 ... Keith logged an assist vs. MIN. His 41 helpers this season rank fourth among league blueliners.
THREE OPPONENTS TO WATCH
LW Max Pacioretty: Montreal's captain paces the team in points (60), goals (33), game-winning goals (7) and shots on goal (232) and ranks second in assists (27). He reached the 30-goal plateau for the fifth time in his career on Feb. 27 at NJD. Pacioretty recorded four points (2G, 2A), including his 200th career NHL goal, on Feb. 9 at Arizona.
C Andrew Shaw: The former Blackhawk matched a career-best with nine hits on Nov. 13 at Chicago. He led the team in February with 15 penalty minutes and hits for a forward (29).
D Shea Weber: Acquired by the Canadiens from the Predators this past June, Weber paces the team in power-play goals (11), ranks second in shots on goal (159) and third in assists (23). He recorded his 300th career NHL assist on Feb. 28 vs. CBJ. He ranks second on the Canadiens with 72 total blocked shots and led the team in December (28), January (30) and February (22).
