The Blackhawks have made their fourth trade of the 2022 NHL Draft, this time acquiring the rights to forward Liam Gorman from the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for the No. 167th overall pick in the sixth round.
Gorman, a sixth-round selection (No. 177 overall) of the Penguins in the 2018 draft, is entering his senior season at Princeton University. In two full seasons, with the 2020-21 campaign cancelled due to COVID-19, Gorman has appeared in 59 games and totalled 12 points (4G, 8A). Liam's father, played four seasons at Princeton as well, serving as captain in 1990-91.
The forward played three games over parts of two seasons with the USHL's Chicago Steel as well as prep high school hockey at St. Sebastian's School in Massachusetts.
