The Chicago Blackhawks had six prospects named to Canada and Sweden's 2023 preliminary World Junior rosters.
Forwards Colton Dach, Ryan Greene and defensemen Nolan Allan, Ethan Del Mastro and Kevin Korchinski will join the Team Canada in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada for a chance to join the final 23-player roster before the start of the tournament. Forward Victor Stjernborg will lead Team Sweden in this year's tournament after being named the team captain. Six cuts will be made before the official announcement of final roster.

Del Mastro, drafted in the fourth round of the 2021 NHL Draft, received his second invitation to the World Juniors camp and fourth international tournament with Team Canada. He currently has 18 points (2G, 16A) through 21 games with the Mississauga Steelheads.
Seattle Thunderbirds teammates Allan and Korchinski received their first invitations for the tournament. Korchinski, seventh overall pick in this year's draft, has produced 28 points (3G, 25A) in 20 games. The 32nd overall pick of Allan currently three points (1G, 2A) in six games with Seattle.
This season, Dach has posted 17 points (9G, 8A) in 14 games for the Kelowna Rockets and was drafted in the second round of the 2021 draft.
The second-round pick of the 2022 draft Greene is currently averaging a point per game with 14 points (6G, 8A) through his last 14 games with Boston University.
Stjernborg, fourth round pick in 2021, will make his second appearance in the torunament where he has played in seven games. While with the Växjö Lakers HC in the Swedish Hockey League this season, he has produced four assists in 24 games.
The preliminary round of the tournament will begin on Monday, Dec. 26 and games going up until Thursday, Jan. 5 for medal rounds in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
