Kirby Dach brought the puck into the zone down the middle of the ice and dished a pass to the boards for Patrick Kane just inside the line. Dach then drove the net and pushed back Jets defenseman Ville Heinola in the process to create space for Kane, who in turn used the movement in front as a screen before sliding a wrister five-hole on Connor Hellebuyck for a 1-0 lead.
