Los Angeles struck first on their second power play of the opening frame. Adrian Kempe put a wrister from the point towards goal that was deflected through traffic in front towards the wide slot. 2nd - 9:16 - Anze Kopitar (Alexander Edler, Adrian Kempe)

2nd - 15:13 - Patrick Kane (Dylan Strome, Alex DeBrincat)

The Blackhawks got on the board with a power-play tally of their own late in the second period as the top unit capitalized on a quick transition back into the offensive end off a clearance. Alex DeBrincat brought the puck in and pulled up along the far wall to wait for white jerseys to flood the zone. He found the late-trailing Dylan Strome in the slot, who then delivered a one-touch pass to Patrick Kane at the side of the cage for a 2-1 score.
