The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have agreed to terms on one-year contracts with forwards Max Domi ($3,000,000 salary cap hit), Andreas Athanasiou ($3,000,000 salary cap hit), Luke Philp (two-way; $750,000 NHL / $250,000 AHL), Brett Seney (two-way; $750,000 NHL / $400,000 AHL) and goaltender Alex Stalock ($750,000 salary cap hit). The Blackhawks have also signed forward Colin Blackwell ($1,200,000 salary cap hit) to a two-year contract that will run through the 2023-24 season.

Max Domi (DOH-mee), 27, registered 39 points (11G, 28A) in 72 games between the Columbus Blue Jackets (9G, 23A; 54GP) and Carolina Hurricanes (2G, 5A; 19GP) during the 2021-22 campaign. He also played in 14 postseason contests with the Hurricanes, totaling six points (3G, 3A).
The 5-foot-10, 194-pound forward has played in 501 career National Hockey League regular-season games with the Arizona Coyotes (2015-18), Montreal Canadiens (2018-20), Columbus Blue Jackets (2020-22) and Carolina Hurricanes (2022), compiling 314 points (101G, 213A) and nine points (3G, 6A) in 24 career playoff contests. The Winnipeg, Manitoba native won a gold medal with Canada at the 2015 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships, posting 10 points (5G, 5A) in seven games and gold during the 2016 IIHF World Championship. He was drafted in the first round, 12th overall, by the Arizona Coyotes in the 2013 NHL Draft.
Andreas Athanasiou (ahn-DRAY-uhs ath-ah-nah-SEE-yew), 27, registered 17 points (11G, 6A) in 28 regular-season contests and one goal in six postseason games with the LA Kings last season, his second with the Kings and seventh in the NHL.
At 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds, Athanasiou has totaled 196 points (105G, 91A) in 378 career NHL games and two goals in 15 career postseason games between the Detroit Red Wings (2015-20), Edmonton Oilers (2020) and LA Kings (2020-22). A native of London, Ontario, he has also played in 83 American Hockey League games with the Grand Rapids Griffins, the AHL affiliate to the Detroit Red Wings, recording 25 goals and 26 helpers. He was originally drafted by the Red Wings in the fourth round, 110th overall, in the 2012 NHL Draft.
Colin Blackwell, 29, split the 2021-22 campaign between the Seattle Kraken (8G, 9A; 39GP) and Toronto Maple Leafs (2G, 1A; 19GP). He also made his NHL postseason debut with Toronto, tallying two points (1G, 1A) in seven contests.
Blackwell has played in 138 career NHL games with the Nashville Predators (2018-20), New York Rangers (2020-21), Seattle (2021) and Toronto (2022), compiling 52 points (25G, 27A). Drafted in the seventh round, 194th overall, by the San Jose Sharks in the 2011 NHL Draft, Blackwell has also put up 105 points (41G, 64A) in 187 career AHL contests.
Alex Stalock (STAY-lahk), 34, appeared in one with the San Jose Sharks, 12 games with the San Jose Barracuda (AHL) and five with the Bakersfield Condors (AHL) during the 2021-22 campaign.
A native of St. Paul, Minnesota, Stalock has played in 152 career NHL games with the Sharks (2010-16; 2021-22) and Minnesota Wild (2016-20), posting a 61-50-18 record with a 2.64 goals against average, .908 save percentage and nine shutouts, winning a career best 20 games and four shutouts during the 2019-20 season with Minnesota. He's also played in 217 career AHL contests, posting a 108-82-21 record. Stalock was drafted in the fourth round, 112th overall, in the 2005 NHL Draft.
Luke Philp, 26, finished his third season with the Stockton Heat (AHL) last year, ranking fourth on the club in goals (21) and fifth in points (44) through 66 games. He also added a goal and four assists in 10 games of the 2022 Calder Cup Playoffs.
In his three seasons with Stockton, the 5-foot-10, 180-pound forward has compiled 48 goals and 44 assists in 148 games. A native of Canmore, Alberta, Philp played three seasons with the University of Alberta (USports) from 2016-19, setting career highs in goals (21) and points (45) during the 2018-19 campaign as an alternate captain.
Brett Seney (SEE-nee), 26, played a majority of the 2021-22 season with the Toronto Marlies (AHL), setting AHL career highs in assists (42) and points (59) in 62 regular-season contests, also leading the Marlies in points. He also played in two contests with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
At 5-foot-9, 174 pounds, Seney has skated in 55 career NHL games with the New Jersey Devils (2018-20) and Maple Leafs (2021-22). He registered five goals and eight helpers in 51 games with the Devils during his rookie season in 2018-19. In addition to his time with the Marlies, he played with the Binghamton Devils (AHL) between 2017-21, totaling 140 career points (47G, 93A) between the two AHL teams. The London, Ontario native also played four seasons with Merrimack College (Hockey East) from 2014-18, registering 42 goals and 73 assists in 139 contests. Seney was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the sixth round, 157th overall, in the 2015 NHL Draft.
