The Chicago Blackhawks today announced that the team has activated defenseman Nikita Zaitsev (right knee) from injured reserve. Additionally, the team has assigned defensemen Louis Crevier and Isaak Phillips to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.
Zaitsev, 32, has skated in 26 games with the Blackhawks during the 2023-24 campaign, tallying seven points (2G, 5A). Zaitsev ranks fourth among team defensemen with 55 hits, while his seven points rank fifth among all club blueliners.
The Blackhawks play the Washington Capitals on Saturday at Capital One Arena at 7:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. CT. The game can be seen on NBCSCH+ and heard on WGN Radio.
