The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have agreed to terms with forward John Hayden on a two-year contract that runs through the 2019-20 season.
Hayden, 23, was drafted by the Blackhawks in the third round (74th overall) of the 2013 National Hockey League Draft. He registered 13 points (4G, 9A) in 47 games with the Blackhawks during the 2017-18 season. He was also credited with 118 hits, which ranked fourth on the team and ninth among league rookies. In 59 career NHL games, Hayden has tallied 17 points (5G, 12A) and recorded 162 hits.
