In conjunction with the National Hockey League, the Chicago Blackhawks today announced the team's 2018-19 regular-season schedule. The organization's 91st regular season launches when the club faces the Ottawa Senators on Thursday, October 4 at 6:30 p.m. at the Canadian Tire Centre.
The team will open the home portion of its schedule with an Original Six matchup against the Toronto Maple Leafs at 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 7 at the United Center, as previously announced. Nineteen of the team's 41 home contests will take place on weekends, including four Fridays, three Saturdays and 12 Sundays. The Blackhawks longest homestand of the season includes four games (December 12 - December 18). Chicago will take five three-game road trips throughout the 2018-19 campaign.

The Blackhawks will also play one of their home contests outdoors at the 2019 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic® against the Boston Bruins on January 1, 2019 at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Ind.

Under the NHL's current schedule format, the Blackhawks will play the other six teams within their division for a total of 26 games. Chicago will play four games each against Dallas, Nashville, Minnesota and Winnipeg (two home/two away), while playing five games each against Colorado (two home/three away) and St. Louis (three home/two away).
Chicago will play the remaining eight Western Conference teams three times each for a total of 24 games. The Blackhawks will host two games against Arizona, Calgary, Vancouver and Vegas, while traveling to each of those cities for one contest. The team will play one home game against Anaheim, Edmonton, Los Angeles and San Jose, with two road contests against each of those clubs. The Blackhawks will meet each Eastern Conference team once at home and once on the road for a total of 32 out-of-conference games.

For the 11th consecutive season, all 82 Chicago Blackhawks games will be televised on NBC Sports Chicago and WGN-TV, the official television broadcasting partners of the Blackhawks, with Pat Foley and Eddie Olczyk providing the call. Every game in 2018-19 can also be heard on Chicago's WGN Radio 720, with John Wiedeman and Troy Murray calling the action. The complete television broadcast schedule will be released at a later date.
