The Chicago Blackhawks, along with broadcasting partners NBC Sports Chicago, WGN Radio 720 and Univision Chicago - TUDN Sports Radio, announced the team that will bring Blackhawks hockey to fans throughout the 2022-23 season.
Joining television play-by-play announcer Chris Vostersas color analysts throughout the season are former Blackhawks Troy Murray and Patrick Sharp. Murray and Sharp are no strangers to Blackhawks fans, playing a combined 1,437 games with the Blackhawks during their careers and both contributing to the Blackhawks broadcasts in recent years. Between Murray and Sharp, the two have over 25 years of National Hockey League broadcasting experience.

Returning for his second season on the broadcast team contributing to Blackhawks broadcasts in between the benches and through other content channels is content analyst Colby Cohen. Caley Chelios also returns to join both the television and radio broadcasts throughout the season as a broadcast & content contributor. John Wiedeman will lead the radio team with play-by-play duties on WGN Radio for the 17th season. In addition, fans should expect regular appearances from Blackhawks alums throughout the season on both radio and television.
NBC Sports Chicago is again the exclusive television home for Blackhawks hockey this season while WGN Radio returns as the radio rightsholder. All home games will also air on Univision TUDN Chicago radio with Miguel Esparza and Jorge Moreno calling the action in Spanish. This marks the eighth season the Blackhawks have partnered with Univision for Spanish radio.

Broadcaster Bios (in alphabetical order)
Caley Chelios joined the Blackhawks broadcast team on both television and radio last season. She also covered the first round of the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs for ESPN. Previously, she spent five seasons with the Tampa Bay lightning where she worked as a radio analyst and contributed to the Lightning's television broadcasts and streaming platforms. Caley attended Northwestern University on a Lacrosse scholarship where she won a national championship her freshman year. She is the daughter of former Blackhawks defenseman Chris Chelios and received her master's degree at Northwestern's Medill College of Journalism.
Colby Cohen joined the Blackhawks last season on both television and radio contributing on color commentary, in-between the benches and in pre- and post-game television shows. He has worked for ESPN as a television hockey analyst since 2016 and served as a color commentator for the NCAA men's Frozen Four/National Championship games the last two years. He has also worked as a studio analyst for the men's Division I Ice Hockey Tournament on ESPN. Cohen has called some of the biggest events in hockey for Westwood One Radio where he has worked since 2017; including the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics, National Hockey League Winter Classics, the NCAA Frozen Four and select NHL postseason contests. He attended Boston University where he was named Most Outstanding Player at the 2009 NCAA Frozen Four and went on to play in the NHL with Boston and Colorado.
Troy Murray originally joined the Blackhawks broadcast team in 1998 following a 15-year NHL career that included 12 seasons (1981 - 91, 1992 - 94) with the Blackhawks. Murray will return to the television booth this season where he spent five years (1999-2004) as a studio analyst and two seasons (2003-04, 2005-06) in the as a color commentator. Murray has teamed with John Wiedeman since the 2006-07 season in the radio booth and the two have called three Stanley Cup Championships along with winning the Illinois Broadcaster Association "Best Radio Play-by-Play" in 2017, 2015, 2014, 2011. As a player, Murray played 915 career NHL games with Chicago, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Pittsburgh and Colorado.
Patrick Sharp won three Stanley Cups with the Chicago Blackhawks (2010, 2013, 2015) and bagged four 30-goal seasons over his impressive 16-year NHL career. Sharp retired a Blackhawk after returning to Chicago to play his final NHL season in 2017-2018. He's spent three seasons working as a television analyst for NBC Sports for their NHL regular season and playoff coverage (2019-2021) and contributed to Blackhawks television broadcasts last season.
Chris Vosters joined the Blackhawks broadcast team this season and has previous experience working for the Big Ten Network, FOX Sports, ESPN, NBC Sports and Stadium. He called ice hockey for NBC Sports during the 2022 Winter Olympic Games and sled hockey for the 2022 Paralympic Games. He also has Olympic experience with NBC Sports calling action for the 2020 Summer Olympic Games and 2018 Winter Olympic Games. With the Big Ten Network, Vosters handled play-by-play duties for the NCAA Women's Frozen Four in 2019.Chris was recognized by the Sportscasters Talent Agency of America as one of the top 30 Sportscasters Under 30 in 2018. An honors graduate at the University of Wisconsin School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Vosters got his start at the university student radio station, 91.7-FM WSUM.
John Wiedeman enters his 17th season as the radio voice of the team. He has called three Stanley Cup championships with the Blackhawks, received top honors in the Chicago market four times for "Best Play-by-Play" category by the Illinois Broadcasters Association along with Murray and won Illinois Sportscaster of the Year by the IBA. Wiedeman also has NHL broadcasting experience with the New York Islanders, Philadelphia Flyers, Tampa Bay Lightning and Columbus Blue Jackets.
