The Chicago Blackhawks today announced that the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Jarred Tinordi on a one-year contract that runs through the 2023-24 season ($1,250,000 salary cap hit).
Tinordi, 31, has skated in 44 games with the Blackhawks during the 2022-23 campaign, recording eight points (2G, 6A) and setting career highs in games played, goals, assists and points. He posted his first career multi-goal game (2G) on Nov. 12 in Anaheim.
The 6-foot-6, 229-pound blueliner has played in 153 career regular-season NHL games with Montreal (2013-16), Arizona (2015-16), Nashville (2019-21), Boston (2021), New York (2021-22) and Chicago (2022-23), totaling 21 points (4G, 17A). He also has an assist through 13 postseason NHL games. In addition, Tinordi has accumulated 96 points (21G, 75A) in 429 career regular-season AHL games and has one assist in seven playoff contests.
The Millersville, Maryland native was originally selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the first round (22nd overall) of the 2010 NHL Draft.
