Chris Vosters will succeed Pat Foley as the Voice of the Chicago Blackhawks, the team -- along with broadcast partner, NBC Sports Chicago -- announced during the first intermission of tonight's broadcast. It was also announced that Pat Foley's final game will take place on April 14 at the United Center as the Blackhawks face the San Jose Sharks. Following April 14, Vosters will assume his role for the remainder of the 2021-22 season.
Vosters, 30, joined the Blackhawks broadcast team this season and has previous experience working for the Big Ten Network, FOX Sports, ESPN, NBC Sports and Stadium. He called ice hockey for NBC Sports during the 2022 Winter Olympic Games and sled hockey for the 2022 Paralympic Games. He also has Olympic experience with NBC Sports calling action for the 2020 Summer Olympic Games and 2018 Winter Olympic Games. With the Big Ten Network, Vosters handled play-by-play duties for the NCAA Women's Frozen Four in 2019.
