The Chicago Blackhawks today announced that they have recalled defenseman Alec Regula from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League and placed defenseman Seth Jones (right thumb) on injured reserve retroactive to Oct. 29.
Regula has skated in one game with the Blackhawks this season. In addition, he's played in four games with Rockford, pacing club blueliners with two goals.
The Blackhawks play the New York Islanders tonight at 7:30 p.m. CT at the United Center. The game can be seen on NBC Sports Chicago Plus, heard on WGN Radio and, in Spanish, on TUDN, Univision Sports Radio 1200 AM.
