For the second time this season, the Chicago Blackhawks endured another loss to the Boston Bruins on Tuesday with a 3-0 shutout.

Despite the end results, Jarred Tinordi felt the team still competed with the undefeated Bruins until the third period. As they continue to move forward through some more tough matchups ahead, they can learn from the tough losses they endured over the last few games.

“I think we were we were right there playing with them,” Tinordi said. “Then, we kind of had a couple lapses and it ended up in the back of the net, so that's part of the process. We need to learn from these games.”

Recap: Bruins at Blackhawks 10.24.23

Connor Bedard tried to open the scoring with a power play goal before it was ruled offsides early in the first period. While the team felt it was devasting to lose their lone goal for the night, Corey Perry still doesn’t deem it as a momentum changer or an excuse for their performance.

He noted the strong performance the team brought early in the contest but once again made small mistakes that led to Boston to take advantage of the situation and capitalize on it, especially in the third period.

“It's tough because you want to have a chance to win each and every night and, for the most part, we've given ourselves chances,” Perry said. “We just haven't been able to, in the third period, get that goal to get that momentum back or, or whatever it is, and just that little spark, it's all we needed.”

Richardson speaks on team's loss and battles

With another matchup against the Vegas Golden Knights on Friday, head coach Luke Richardson wants to see his team continues to practice on different battle drills.

While some can view it as frustrating, he knows it can be valuable to learn a hard work ethic similar to teams like Boston and Vegas.

“I think we have to work on that and sometimes that's just a little bit of work at practice of this is how you got to play every shift, every game,” Richardson said.
