TONIGHT'S MATCHUP

The Blackhawks meet the Colorado Avalanche on Monday night for the first of four games during the 2024-25 campaign. Taylor Hall has 39 points (17G, 22A) in 32 career games against Colorado, including three points (2G, 1A) over his last two trips to Ball Arena. As a member of the Maple Leafs, Tyler Bertuzzi recorded a hat trick (3G) during his last meeting with Colorado on Feb. 24. Petr Mrazek boasts a 5-4-2 record with a 2.48 goals-against average, .922 save percentage and two shutouts in 12 career appearances against Colorado.

LAST TIME OUT

The Blackhawks dropped a 4-2 decision to the Dallas Stars on Saturday evening at American Airlines Center. Connor Bedard found the back of the net and has goals (2G) in back-to-back games. Ryan Donato also scored for his third goal of the season. Pat Maroon posted two assists, while Nolan Allan and Craig Smith each added an assist. Petr Mrazek made his second-straight start and made 26 saves on 29 shots. As a team, Chicago totaled 29 hits to just nine hits for the Stars. The Blackhawks recorded 22 blocked shots to just 13 blocked shots for Dallas.

BED, BATH & BEDARD

Against Dallas, forward Connor Bedard scored his 25th career goal, passing Bobby Hull and Jonathan Toews for third place on the franchise’s all- time list among teenagers (Eddie Olczyk, 49 and Patrick Kane, 29). With the goal, Bedard now has goals (2G) in consecutive games and four points (2G, 2A) over his last five games. He now leads all club skaters with nine points (3G, 6A) in nine games this season.

PAT IN THE HAT

Blackhawks forward Pat Maroon added two assists on Saturday against Dallas for his first multi-point game as a Blackhawk. He also tallied five hits in the game, which tied Nick Foligno for first among all game skaters. He now has 18 hits in eight games this season, which ranks second on the team.

SMYTHBUSTERS

Against his former team, forward Craig Smith recorded an assist and now has four points (3G, 1A) over his last four games. His four points on the season now share fourth among all club skaters. He now has 438 points (214G, 224A) for his NHL career, which ranks 17th among all players taken in the 2009 NHL Draft.
