The Columbus Blue Jackets have traded center Alex Broadhurst to the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for future considerations, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.
Broadhurst, 25, was acquired by the Blue Jackets as part of a trade on June 30, 2015 and made his NHL debut with the club on Apr. 3, 2018 vs. Detroit. He recorded two penalty minutes and a shot on 10:03 of ice time in two outings that season. The Orland Park, Illinois native has added 70-120-190 and 103 penalty minutes in 330 career American Hockey League contests with the Cleveland Monsters and Rockford Ice Hogs. He has tallied 8-21-29 and 10 penalty minutes in 48 outings with the Monsters in 2018-19.
The Blue Jackets return to action on Tuesday when they host the Pittsburgh Penguins. Game time from Nationwide Arena is 7 p.m. ET.
