Hutchinson, 33, has posted a 55-55-15 record with a 2.79 goals-against average, .905 save percentage and six shutouts in 137 career NHL games with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Colorado Avalanche, Florida Panthers and Winnipeg Jets from 2013-22. He posted career bests in 2014-15, finishing with a 21-10-5 record, 2.38 GAA, .914 SV% and two shutouts with the Jets. In 2021-22, he appeared in two contests with the Maple Leafs, going 0-1-0 with a .857 SV%.
The Barrie, Ontario native was selected by the Boston Bruins in the third round, 77th overall, at the 2008 NHL Draft. He has registered a 106-71-20 record with a 2.58 GAA, .917 SV% and 15 shutouts in 209 career appearances in the American Hockey League since making his professional debut with the Providence Bruins in 2010-11. He posted a 1-5-1 record with a 2.74 GAA and .897 SV% in seven outings with the Henderson Silver Knights in 2022-23.
A 6-3, 201-pound netminder, Hutchinson played four seasons with the Barrie Colts and London Knights in the Ontario Hockey League from 2006-10. He went 67-50-7 with a 2.87 GAA, .915 SV% and nine shutouts in 130 career appearances. Quick had been acquired by Columbus along with a conditional first-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft and a third-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft from the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov and goaltender Joonas Korpisalo on March 1.
