Zatkoff, 30, is 18-21-4 with a 2.72 goals-against average, .908 save percentage and a shutout in 48 career NHL games with the Kings and Pittsburgh Penguins from 2013-17. He has also posted a 98-82-6 record with a 2.45 GAA, .915 SV % and 16 shutouts in 208 career AHL contests with the Ontario Reign, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and Manchester Monarchs since making his pro debut in 2008-09.
The Detroit, Michigan native has served as the third netminder for the AHL's Reign this season. In 2016-17, he went 2-7-1 with a 2.95 GAA and .879 SV% in 13 games with Los Angeles and 2-3-2 with a 3.01 GAA and .900 SV% in eight contests with the Reign. He helped the Penguins win a Stanley Cup in 2015-16 with a 4-7-1 record, 2.79 GAA and .917 SV% in 14 regular season contests and a 1-1-0 record with a 3.08 GAA and .908 SV% in two Stanley Cup Playoff games. The 6-2, 186-pound netminder posted NHL career-bests in wins and GAA with Pittsburgh in his rookie campaign in 2013-14, going 12-6-2 with a 2.61 GAA and .912 SV%.
Originally Los Angeles' third round selection, 74th overall, in the 2006 NHL Draft, Zatkoff went 17-15-3 with a 2.97 GAA and .915 SV% in 37 ECHL contests with the Reign in 2008-09. Prior to turning pro, he spent three campaigns at Miami University (Ohio) from 2005-08, finishing his collegiate career with a 54-22-7 record, 1.96 GAA, .927 SV% and seven shutouts in 82 contests.
