The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated defenseman Ryan Murray off Injured Reserve, club General Manager and Alternate Governor Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.
Murray, 26, has missed the past 34 games after suffering a lower body injury on December 14 at Ottawa. He has recorded two goals and five assists for seven points and four penalty minutes in 24 games with the Blue Jackets this season.
The Regina, Saskatchewan native has registered 15-93-108 with 104 penalty minutes and a +15 plus/minus rating in 344 career games with the Blue Jackets. He set career highs in assists, points and plus/minus in 2018-19 with 1-28-29, 10 penalty minutes and a +20 plus/minus rating in 56 outings. The 6-1, 206-pound defenseman was selected second overall by Columbus at the 2012 NHL Draft.
