Oliver Bjorkstrand CBJ Blue Jackets 1020

COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Columbus Blue Jackets have added right wing Oliver Bjorkstrand to the roster on emergency recall from the Cleveland Monsters, Columbus' American Hockey League affiliate, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.
Bjorkstrand, 21, has posted an assist and six penalty minutes in five games with the Blue Jackets this season. He leads Cleveland in goals and points (tied) with 14-12-26 and six penalty minutes in 37 games. The winger made his AHL All-Star Classic debut on January 30 at PPL Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

The Herning, Denmark native has registered 4-5-9 with six penalty minutes and a +5 plus/minus rating in 17 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets since making his NHL debut in 2015-16. He has added 31-24-55 and 16 penalty minutes in 88 career AHL games with the Monsters. Columbus' third round pick, 89th overall, in the 2013 NHL Draft, he captured the 2016 Jack A. Butterfield Trophy (Playoff MVP) after leading the club to the Calder Cup Championship with 10-6-16 in 17 contests.
The Blue Jackets return to action on Wednesday when they host the Toronto Maple Leafs at Nationwide Arena. Game time is 7 p.m. ET.
