Blue Jackets fans will get a look at some key youngsters when the team takes the ice for the first time Monday night at Pittsburgh during the first preseason game of the year.
First-round picks Liam Foudy (2018), Yegor Chinakhov (2020) and Cole Sillinger (2021) will be in the lineup against the Penguins, as Columbus revealed the roster for the first of eight exhibition games Sunday afternoon.
Chinakhov (six goals in three games) and Sillinger (five points in three games) recently starred at the NHL Prospects Tournament in Traverse City, Mich., while Foudy has played in 26 NHL games over the past two years. Such youngsters as Kevin Stenlund, Josh Dunne, Alexandre Texier and Emil Bemstrom are also in the lineup as well as 2021 third-round pick Stanislav Svozil.
The Blue Jackets will return to Nationwide Arena for exhibition games Tuesday and Wednesday vs. Buffalo and St. Louis, respectively.
