COLUMBUS, OH- The Columbus Blue Jackets will salute those who have served or are currently serving in the nation's armed forces during the club's annual Military Appreciation Night on Saturday, January 21 when the Jackets host the Carolina Hurricanes at Nationwide Arena. Game time is 5 p.m.
The night will feature several tributes, recognition of all branches of service and a charitable auction of camouflage-style jerseys worn by the Blue Jackets players during pre-game warm-ups.

On this night, the Blue Jackets will host more than 1,000 military members and their families representing the USO of Central & Southern Ohio, Fallen 15 and the 121st Air Refueling Wing among others. In addition, the Ohio Warriors sled hockey team comprised of disabled veterans will take the ice during the first intermission followed by a multi-branch swearing-in ceremony during the second intermission.
As a way to show support and gratitude for all active and retired service members, the Blue Jackets players will wear specially designed camouflage-style jerseys during pre-game warm-ups on Military Appreciation Night. The complete set of authentic worn jerseys will be individually autographed by the respective players and available for charitable auction. The Blue Jackets Foundation will also sell a limited-edition Ohio-themed military pride T-shirt, priced at $25, at the Foundation's kiosk located behind section 110 on the main concourse.
As part of its presenting sponsorship of the team's Tickets for Troops program, True REST Float Spa Columbus/Powell will provide a free float to all active military personnel who redeem the game-day offer for a complimentary ticket upon presentation of a valid military ID at the Big Lots Box Office at Nationwide Arena, based on availability. True REST will also be giving away additional floats during Military Appreciation Night.
The Blue Jackets return to action Friday when they visit the Tampa Bay Lightning. Game time at Amalie Arena is 8 p.m. ET.
