The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed All-Star defenseman Seth Jones on Injured Reserve, recalled defenseman Gabriel Carlsson from the American Hockey League's Cleveland Monsters and added center Liam Foudy to the roster on emergency recall from the Ontario Hockey League's London Knights, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.
Jones, 25, will be sidelined indefinitely due to an ankle injury suffered in Saturday's game vs. the Colorado Avalanche. The three-time All-Star has collected six goals and 24 assists for 30 points with 20 penalty minutes and a +10 plus/minus rating in 56 games this season, while leading the club and ranking sixth in the NHL in time on ice per game (25:17). The Arlington, Texas native has tallied 60-198-258 and 168 penalty minutes in 524 career games with the Blue Jackets and Nashville Predators. Selected with the fourth overall pick by Nashville in the 2013 NHL Draft, Jones has notched 45-150-195 and 114 penalty minutes in 325 games since joining the Blue Jackets during the 20015-16 campaign.

Carlsson, 23, has collected 0-3-3 and eight penalty minutes in 23 career NHL games with Columbus, including two penalty minutes in six outings this season. Selected by the club in the first round, 29th overall, at the 2015 NHL Draft, he made his NHL debut at the end of the 2016-17 campaign before finishing +1 in five games vs. the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Orebro, Sweden native has registered 5-24-29, 44 penalty minutes and a cumulative +8 plus/minus rating in 142 career AHL games with Cleveland, including 1-10-11, 14 penalty minutes and a +8 plus/minus rating in 39 games this season.
Foudy, 20, was selected by the Blue Jackets in the first round, 18th overall, in the 2018 NHL Draft. The 6-2, 182-pound forward has tallied 20-23-43, 18 penalty minutes and is +30 in 32 games with London this season, serving as one of the club's co-captains. In 217 career OHL games, he has racked up 89-77-166, 91 penalty minutes and a cumulative +68 plus/minus rating since 2016. A native of Scarborough, Ontario, he has represented Canada at several international competitions, including this year's IIHF World Junior Championship, where he picked up 3-1-4 in seven games and helped Canada capture the gold medal.
