COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Columbus Blue Jackets trimmed their training camp roster by eight players, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.
The following players were assigned to the Cleveland Monsters, the Blue Jackets' American Hockey League affiliate:

right wing Nick Moutrey, center Dante Salituro and center Justin Scott, while right wing Patrick Dwyer, defenseman Frank Hora, goaltender Michael Houser, left wing Darby Llewellyn and goaltender Lucas Peressini were released from their tryout contracts.
The Blue Jackets, who are 1-2-0 in the preseason, return to action tonight when they host the Nashville Predators. Game time at Nationwide Arena is 7 p.m. ET.
