In honor of Military Appreciation Night presented by Elk + Elk last Thursday, the Blue Jackets hosted hockey-playing members from the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton. Members of the Air Force base scrimmaged with Blue Jackets alumni, including the one and only Jean-Luc Grand-Pierre! The Blue Jackets also saluted military members throughout the evening.

Former CBJ forward Cam Atkinson made his first return to Nationwide Arena since he was traded to the Philadelphia Flyers that same night. Cam showed his support upon his return by donating a large check from the Force Network Fund to USO Ohio. Thank you, Cam, and welcome back!

The state up north may be Ohio's rival state, but Michigan gave us two of our newest youngsters this week. On Friday, Nick Blankenburg and Kent Johnson from the University of Michigan signed contracts with the Blue Jackets. You are going to want to take a look at these new Jackets.
